Sunset Hills, MO is a great city to live in for many reasons, including the wide variety of summer activities that you can enjoy in the area. From leisurely tram rides to feed farm animals to the opportunity to show your kids who the best driver in the family is, there is something nearby for the whole family to enjoy. Read on to discover our top three favorites.

3 Summer Activities You Can Drive to Near Sunset Hills, MO

1. Visit Laumeier Sculpture Park

One great idea for enjoying the beautiful summer weather in Sunset Hills is to visit Laumeier Sculpture Park at 12580 Rott Road. This free park and museum is open from 7 AM until half an hour past sunset, with only a few rare exceptions, like Christmas Day. You can bring your dog and enjoy the outdoor sculptures and enjoy jogging down 1.56 miles of trails, but your furry friend must remain leashed.

It also offers summer art programs for high schoolers, Finally Friday Series on Fridays between June 2 and August 25 from 4 to 8 PM, and much more. Some special summer events you have to pay for, but the Finally Friday Series is free to enjoy unless you want to purchase a meal from one of many local vendors.

2. Take a Tour of Grant’s Farm

Another fun way to spend a summer day is to take a tour of Grant’s Farm at 7385 Grant Road. General admission to this farm is free, but you will need to pay for certain experiences, like feeding the animals, getting an up-close 75-minute tour of the Clydesdales, and riding the carousel.

If you want to make the most out of your day, we highly recommend booking a private behind-the-scenes tour of the property. An expert guide will drive you around the property, and you’ll get to see Grant’s Cabin. Additionally, you’ll get to see the stunning exterior of the Busch family home and get acquainted with the amazing animals in the Deer Park.

3. Race to Victory at Victory Raceway

We also love visiting Victory Raceway at 8800 Watson Road. This 56,000-square-foot facility features indoor racing, so you don’t have to check the weather before you leave the house. Children at least 4’2″ can ride karts that go up to 25 miles per hour, and adults can reach speeds of 45 miles per hour.

Regardless of the kind of adventure you are in the mood for, a 2024 Subaru Outback Premium can get you there safely and reliably. To upgrade your vehicle, contact us at Sunset Hills Subaru for information on what we have in stock. We can’t wait to get you into your optimal vehicle.
