1. West County Center
Located at 80 W County Center in the town of Des Peres, West County Center is a well-known destination among local shoppers, bringing together about 150 different stores and services in a retail floor area of over 1,200,000 square feet. Designed and constructed in the late 1960s, this mall underwent a complete renovation in the early 2000s and is nowadays anchored by JCPenney, Nordstrom, Macy’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Driving from downtown Sunset Hills to West County Center takes about 10 minutes via route I-270. Once you make your way to this popular retail center, some of the shops you will find include Claire’s, Chico’s, Victoria’s Secret, Ann Taylor, Forever 21, Sephora, American Eagle, and Coach. Several restaurants and cafés are also available here, including Chick-fil-A, Charley’s, Starbucks, Auntie Anne’s, Chipotle, and Panda Express.
2. Saint Louis Galleria
Featuring a wide variety of specialty shops and department stores, Saint Louis Galleria is another wonderful destination to shop for a gift or check out the latest deals at your favorite shops. Located at 1155 Galleria in the Richmond Heights neighborhood of western St. Louis, this mall covers a retail floor area of about 1.2 million square feet and can be reached in about 20 minutes by car from the Sunset Hills city center.
Owned and managed by Brookfield Properties, Saint Louis Galleria opened its doors in 1955 and features a wide diversity of stores, including Dillard’s, Aldo, American Eagle, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, Claire’s, Forever 21, Foot Locker, H&M, Hollister, The North Face, Sephora, Pandora, Vans, Victoria’s Secret, and Zales. Cafés and restaurants, on the other hand, include Auntie Anne’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Charley’s, Cinnabon, and Panda Express.
3. Plaza Frontenac
An upscale retail center anchored by Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, Plaza Frontenac is located at 1701 S Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis and can be reached in about 15 minutes by car from Sunset Hills. With nearly 50 stores and services covering an area of about 480,000 square feet, this mall features both local and international brands ,including Louis Vuitton, L’Occitane en Provence, Michael Kors, and Tiffany & Co.
