This system pairs with a 185-hp 2.5L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine and a Lineatronic continuously variable transmission for smooth shifting and efficient performance. For enhanced driving dynamics and more fun on your adventures, the transmission boasts an 8-speed manual mode with paddle shifters.

Impressive Traction and Stability 

This SUV is designed for off-road adventures and comes with the automaker’s X-MODE transfer case that optimizes transmission ratio and engine output to provide optimal traction on various types of terrains and slippery roads. Select trims boast an advanced dual-mode version of the X-MODE with specific drive modes for Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud.

Comfort and Convenience 

The 2024 Outback offers ample seating for five.
