2019 Ascent: Subaru's Three-Row SUV

The new 2019 Ascent is Subaru's largest model yet, catering to drivers with larger families or bulky cargo needs. This spacious, capable, and comfortable SUV is a great pick for drivers near St. Louis, Kirkwood, or Arnold, MO in search of the convenience factor.

Explore an Expansive Interior

The Ascent more than lives up to the high expectations set for family SUVs. The three-row behemoth can carry seven or eight passengers (depending on trim level) and offers 153.3 cubic feet of passenger space. Available second-row captain's chairs make it easy to load passengers in to all three rows.

As for cargo space, there's plenty of it. The Ascent has up to 47.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the third row of seats folded down. Fold down the second row and that expands to a whopping 86.5 cubic feet.

It's not just utility and convenience that makes the Ascent cabin a standout -- it's the amenities, as well. Available built-in Wi-Fi and up to eight USB ports means all passengers can stay connected during the journey. The Ascent even offers 19 cupholders throughout the cabin, so you'll always have a place nearby to set a drink.

Choose an SUV that Knows How to Take Care of You

The big news for the Ascent is Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on all trim levels. It's a package that adds two cameras to your vehicle that watch out for potential hazards. In certain circumstances, the system can sound an alert or provide automatic avoidance action.  So, what does that package include?

  • Adaptive Cruise Control can automatically adjust your Ascent's speed to maintain a consistent distance from the next vehicle. You get to choose the distance.
  • Lane Keep Assist can let you know if you stray over the lane lines without signaling.
  • Pre-Collision Braking senses an oncoming collision. It alerts the driver and automatically employs braking to reduce speed before impact.
  • Pre-Collision Throttle Management automatically reduces power to the engine if the system detects a likely collision. This can also help reduce speed before impact.

Feel the Power of Subaru Engineering

Subaru made sure to equip the new Ascent for all sorts of driving activities. From towing trailers to cruising around town, the Ascent is sure to please with its precisely engineered performance features.

This engine allows for up to 2,000 pounds of towing in the base Ascent and up to 5,000 pounds of towing in the Ascent Premium or Ascent Limited.
